Okay had a christmas party for the kids' friens which turned out to be a huge success. We had about 50 teens (some older) in & out of the the house that Saturday afternoon. The food they went through was amazing ! I had to rig up more food & thank goodness I had 4 pizzas in the freezer LOL. It was vert nice to see all the food go.
And then at the office, I moved again, to another section with a larger space. Better. But my assistant was transferred & I am now flying solo again. Its been manageable so far. Only the administrative stuff like filing & clippings I've left undone cos I have no time for that with other more important things to do. Ah well, if unmanageable I am able to get help.
We didn't go away this CNY but hubby went to Perth for a fishing trip & was back before CNY. It was a lousy trip
Mum spent CNY at our place cos Bro & Sis-in-law went away. It was a fairly quiet CNY day as other members of our extended family were also away. But the first weekend was busy & that was when we had friends & family over. I think we had about 50 in & out. Mini IR started that weekend LOL. One mahjong corner, blackjack at living room & another BJ at the dining table. Our old friends made time to come over & that was nice ! Sarah & Ryan's friends came by too. Party started from 3pm & didn't end till probably 1am. The menu was not very diff from Christmas; shepherd's pie (very popular, couldn't not do it), ordered satay which was pretty good, chicken curry with prata & french loaf, lasagne, apple crumble & my cousin's yummy walnut cake.
The next day, Sarah's church leaders had their gathering at our place so it was another round. But they brought food, lots of it !
Then the next weekend it was at my godparents place. Would have had another party at my uncle's but Sarah had her school charity fashion show of which she was handling publicity. I went with Anth & the best part of the day was meeting some schoolmates whom I have not seen since I left the school ! For some reason or other I don't bump into ex schoolmates when I attend any events at the school. Till now. And we are keeping in touch. That was truly a highlight. I brought my camera & in my excitement (and old age) forget to take pics. What the heck ???!!!! Nevermind, we are getting together again so there will be pics.
After the CNY hols had biz visitors from the Middle East to take care of. Visit to doc as a follow up from my op. It went fine & there are no more follow up visits unless something pops up & I need to see her again.
Took Sarah to the specialist cos of her arm. Its tendonitis. 3 tendons rubbing against her bone & are all inflammed. Physio is needed; heat treament & exercises. I'll go for the first with her to see what is being done so that it can be repeated at home. Doc says she needs to take care & do the exercises vigilantly & not do other exercises that would make it worse. Two months excuse from bowling & PE. The latter from exercises that involves the arm.
Busy at work because I am working on a branding exercise for our new projects in the middle east. May travel up there for presentations in late March. Other than that, some exciting projects coming up.
Well yippee for the nation playing host to the Youth Olympics. Its a great achievement. But a big boo with expletives for the increased number of gantries & increase in taxi fare. ERP gantries to go home ?? WTF is that ? I fully agree with the gantries heading towards town during morning peak hours but when heading home after work, why TF should we pay ? So what f I am stuck in traffic going home ? I don't give a shit...I am going home & it doesn't matter if I am late. Its all crap. The ones in the housing estates are the most ridiculous. So its really pay and pay...waaaah lau.
